Safety and Standards
Safety awareness is of paramount importance to the successful operation of any Company. At Kolmark we have actively pursued standard operating procedures in a pro-active approach to work method and safety in the workshop and on site.
Our Safety system is broadly based on the Safety Map model from WSA Victoria. This model is proving to be a practical approach to Safety Management and procedure documentation.
The Site safety awareness of our workforce is directly related to the presence of hazardous conditions that exist in various work areas on sites. Specific procedures and checklists are in place to deal with a variety of potentially hazardous conditions as they are encountered.
Several of our personnel are accredited in Confined Space Level 3 including emergency rescue and the use of gas monitoring devices. Our personnel are also trained in working at heights and EWP operations
We consider our local Safety record to be impeccable, given that since our commencement of operation NO single lost time injury has been recorded.
Our personnel work to the following standards and more:
- AS 4037 - Examination and Testing
- AS 4041 - Pressure Piping
- AS 3992 - Pressure Welding Qualifications
